Obituary for Carol Ann Bejtlich

Carol Ann Bejtlich, age 80, of Billerica died peacefully on April 7, 2026 after a brief but courageous battle with Sarcomatoid Mesothelioma.


She was the beloved wife of Richard C. Bejtlich to whom she was married for 55 years.


Carol Ann was born in Lynn, Massachusetts July 6, 1945, the youngest of two children of the late Michael and Stephanie (Niebrzydowski) Fronc. She graduated from Lynnfield High School in 1963, class valedictorian, Boston College, 1967, Bachelor of Arts, Magna Cum Laude, Michigan State University 1969 Master of Arts in French and attended McGill University in Montreal.


She taught at Lynnfield High School from 1969-1970 and after her marriage in 1970 started a family, taking a break from teaching. During this time she also taught quilting at many local adult education evening classes. From 1984-2001 she returned to teach French and Spanish at Billerica Memorial High School. She retired in 2001, teaching knitting part time at Aunt Margaret’s Yarn & Gift Shop, Chelmsford, from 2004-2017.


She is survived by her loving husband Richard, son Richard M. Bejtlich and wife Amy of Vienna, Virginia, daughter Lauri J. DiFraia and husband Mark, of Billerica, and daughter Theresa A. Marascio and husband James of Charlotte, North Carolina, brother John M. Fronc and wife Ella of Chandler, Arizona. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Corinne and Anna Marascio, Olivia and Dakota DiFraia, and Elise and Argos Bejtlich, and many nieces and nephews.


She loved making beautiful quilts, collecting fabrics, yarns and knitting, and spending her time creating intricate diamond art. Carol Ann will be missed greatly by those who knew and loved her and her legacy will carry on in the countless students she taught over the years.


The family would like to thank the nurses at High Pointe House in Haverhill for their compassionate care.

A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, April 11, 2026 at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa Church at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Interment in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to donorschoose.org to help teachers across the country supply their classrooms with needed items.
