Obituary for Brion M. Cangiamila
Brion M. Cangiamila – Age 52, died unexpectedly Saturday at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington. He was born in Medford, February 22, 1962, the son of Vincent Cangiamila of Billerica and the late June (Lewis) Cangiamila. Mr. Cangiamila graduated from the Shawsheen Valley Technical High School in 1980 and was the alumni class president. He graduated from Fisher Junior College in 1982 and later attended Bentley College of Business. He served as the Billerica State Representative from 1991-1993 and then served as a Billerica Selectman from 1993-1999. He was a former Billerica Town Meeting member, former Chairman and member of the Billerica Personnel Board, former Chairman and Treasurer of the Billerica Arts Council, former Chairman of the Howe Revitalization Committee, former member of the Industrial Development Committee, former member of the Board of Directors of the Boston Civic Symphony Orchestra, former member of the Board of Trustees of Public Action for the Arts, Secretary of the Billerica Historical Society and a founding member of Kid’s Konnection. He was a member of the Billerica Lodge of Elks, Billerica Knights of Columbus, Thomas Talbot Masonic Lodge and past President of the Billerica Sons of Italy. He later worked in the mortgage industry and was employed at Legal Seafood in the Burlington Mall and was the part owner of Dogs by Design in Beverly. Besides his father, Mr. Cangiamila is survived by his brother, Dana Cangiamila of Billerica; his sisters, Donna Chandler and Diana Saunders of Billerica and his nieces and nephews, Nicholas, John and Samantha Cangiamila, Cheri and Raymond Chandler and Nicole, Laura and Jessica Saunders and his grand niece, Christina Hansford. CANGIAMILA – Of Billerica, July 5, Brion M. Cangiamila, Funeral Tuesday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Church, Billerica at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
