Obituary for Brian Thomas Durrance
Brian Thomas Durrance
Loving Son, Brother, Nephew, Cousin and Friend
LUNENBURG – Brian Thomas Durrance, age 27, died unexpectedly Wednesday at his home.
He was born in Melrose, MA, on July 29, 1989, son of George S. and Karen M. (Fiorello) Durrance. He spent his early childhood in Billerica before moving to Lunenburg where he spent many happy years.
Brian graduated from Lunenburg High School in 2007. He went on to Fitchburg State University where he received a Bachelor of Science in History.
He worked as a teaching assistant for students with special needs in multiple school districts, most recently for the CASE Collaborative in Littleton, MA. Brian enjoyed reading, painting, drawing, watching football and soccer, but most of all hiking with his dog, Arya.
Outgoing and sensitive to the needs of others, Brian had a big heart and was loved by everyone he met. Brian could get to the root of every matter with a huge smile, without ever losing his positivity. Brian made every situation fun; he had a wonderful sense of humor and a true zeal for life. Brian and his father had a special relationship, full of jokes and an abundance of love.
Brian is survived by his parents and two brothers, George Durrance Jr. of Somerville, Kevin Durrance of Groton, as well as many members of the Giordano, Fiorello, and Durrance families, including all of their extended families and many friends.

Visiting hours will be held Sunday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 1 – 4 p.m. with a prayer service at 3:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Easter Seals Massachusetts.
