Obituary for Brenda J. Fiorini-O'Donnell

Brenda J. Fiorini-O’Donnell - age 69, beloved wife of Jim O’Donnell Jr. died Saturday, May 31, at the Lahey Hospital in Burlington surround by her loving family.


Brenda was born and raised in Chisholm, Minnesota, September 29, 1955, a daughter of the late Herman A. and Betty L. (Larson) Fiorini.


Brenda graduated from Morehead University in 1977 with an accounting degree. She went on to work as a controller for the Holiday Inn. Brenda’s career led her to Massachusetts, which became her home, to work at the former Stouffer’s hotel in Bedford for many years. She later was employed by the ROADS Corporation and finally the Middlesex Retirement System in Billerica until her retirement.


Besides her husband, Brenda is survived by her loving son Adam O’Donnell of Lowell, his fiancé Sammy McGonagle also of Lowell; her sister Barbara Jacklula of Saint Cloud, Minnesota, and her husband Robert; her brother Michael Fiorini of Colorado; and was the sister of the late Joseph Fiorini and Marlene Applequest of Dixon, Illinois. She leaves behind many loving nieces and nephews that she adored.


Brenda’s son Adam was her ultimate passion, and she devoted herself to being the best mother possible to Adam; her pride and joy, her guiding light, and her most treasured accomplishment. Her spirit is carried on by her son Adam. While he was a student at the Ditson Elementary School, you could often find her volunteering for various school events and important school programs.


Brenda’s other passion was the Billerica Holiday Festival. Brenda was there right from the conception of this festival, which has become an annual tradition for the Billerica Library. She took pride coordinating the beautiful Christmas trees and wreathes each year, and hers always was a show stopper.


Brenda’s funeral arrangements will be private, the family would like to continue her legacy and love for the Holiday Festival. They request that any donations be made in her memory to; Billerica Holiday Festival, P.O. Box 929, Billerica, MA. 01821.
