
Bertrand V. Wallin, age 87, beloved husband of Patricia H. (Cotter) Wallin died Wednesday August 30 at the D’Youville Life and Wellness Community in Lowell with his family by his side.
He was born in Cambridge, July 14, 1936 a son of the late Carl and Victoria (Eckman) Wallin and lived in Cambridge and Belmont before moving to Billerica over 70 years ago.
Bertrand was employed as a fork truck assembler for the former Lewis – Shepard Co. in Watertown for over 20 years and later at the Center Café in Billerica and was also a life member of the Billerica Lodge of Elks. He was an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed hunting and was a history buff and loved to read.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Eric Wallin and his wife Nancy of Billerica; two sisters, Sandra Crawford and Beverly Bevens both of Pelham, NH: his cousin Marilyn Shanahan of Burlington as well as his grandsons, Jeffrey and Kevin Wallin and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Sonja Kizik and Rita Signoretti.
Visiting hour will be held Saturday September 2, at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 1 – 4 p.m. It being his request all other services will be held privately and at the convenience of his family.
