Obituary for Bernice M. Lavey
Bernice M. Lavey, age 99, wife of the late Edward J. Lavey died Wednesday, May 4 at the Lowell General Hospital – Saints Campus after a brief illness.
She was born in Arlington, April 14, 1923, daughter of the late Edward and Bernadette (Page`) Hamilton and was raised in Arlington and later lived in Billerica for 34 years before moving to Tewksbury.
She enjoyed traveling with her husband and taking long rides in the country! She was an avid sports fan. She also enjoyed passionately cheering on the Red Sox and always loved visiting the grandkids!
Bernice is survived by her children, Kathleen Costello and her husband James of Tewksbury, Linda Woods and her husband Mark of Tewksbury, Francis Lavey and his wife Donna of Nashua, NH and Thomas Lavey and his wife Charlene of Brookline, NH; her brother, Richard Hamilton of Billerica and her nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Her Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, May 7, at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. Burial will take place in the Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
