Obituary for Barbara M. Zemba
Barbara M. Zemba – Age 74, beloved wife of Richard E. Zemba died Sunday at their home surrounded by her family. She was born in Burlington, VT, January 19, 1938, the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Kirby) Ratta and lived in Billerica for most of her life. Mrs. Zemba was employed for many years at Jordan Marsh in Burlington and later worked for Office Specialist doing many temporary jobs. She volunteered at the Billerica Senior Center and at the Lahey Clinic and was a member of the Red Hat Society. Besides her husband, Mrs. Zemba is survived by her son, Brian Zemba of Arlington, VA; her daughter, Denise O’Donnell and her husband Tom of Chelmsford; her brother, Richard Ratta of FL and four grandchildren, Tamara, Ashley, Henry and Nicholas O’Donnell. ZEMBA – Of Billerica, June 3, Barbara M. Zemba, Funeral Thursday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Church at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Friends of Billerica Council on Aging, P.O. 487, Nutting Lake, MA 01865.
