Obituary for Barbara A. Scholl
Barbara A. (McGurn) Scholl, Age 74, died Tuesday at the Lowell General Hospital – Saints Campus after a short illness. She was the former wife of the late Douglas R. Scholl. She was born in Lowell, February 23, 1940, a daughter of the late John and Vera (Hudoba) McGurn and was a resident of Billerica all of her life. Mrs. Scholl was employed by MITRE Corp. in Bedford for over 20 years, before that employed as a cafeteria worker for the Town of Billerica while her children were in school. She loved gardening, her town, most of all her family. She is survived by her sons, Stephen Scholl of Fairfax, VA and Robert Scholl of Billerica; her daughters, Gail Mangeolle of Acton and Joann Scholl of Acworth, GA; her brothers, Edward McGurn of Tewksbury and J. Frank McGurn of Billerica; her sisters, Shirley Boyce of MI, Margaret McGurn of Billerica, Mary Carhoun of FL and Gail Dooley of Dracut and her grandchildren, Owen, Eva, Lydia, Clay, Eliot and Emma. Mrs. Scholl was the sister of the late George McGurn. SCHOLL – Of Billerica, April 1, Barbara A. (McGurn) Scholl, A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday at St. Andrew’s Church, Talbot Ave., N. Billerica at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the MA Commission for the Blind, 600 Washington St., Boston, MA 02111. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
