Obituary for Barbara A. Motyka
Barbara A. Motyka – Age 77, beloved wife of Stanley M. Motyka died Saturday at the Lawrence Memorial Hospital in Medford. She was born in Northampton, May 26, 1934, the daughter of the late Ernest and Theresa (Rosemarynoski) Hotis and lived in Ludlow before moving to Billerica 45 years ago. Barbara worked at Market Basket before working at Dupont Pharmaceuticals in Billerica for 15 years prior to her retirement. She had been a member for 45 years of St. Theresa Church and enjoyed collecting religious medals and took great pride in her collection. She enjoyed crocheting and embroidering and shared her talents with the many gifts she made for family and friends. Besides her husband whom she had shared 60 years of marriage, she is survived by her daughters, Virginia Hankard and her husband Gary of Dunstable and Carol Otto and her husband Greg of Lyndeborough, NH; her son, Stanley Motyka Jr. and his wife Beth of Ossian, IN and her sister, Beverly Jensen of Longmeadow. She is also survived by three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. MOTYKA – Of Billerica, Dec. 24, Barbara A. Motyka, Funeral Wednesday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Church at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 4-7 p.m. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
