Obituary for Barbara A. Foley
Barbara A. (DeCosta) Foley, age 78, beloved wife of the late William J. Foley died Sunday at the Merrimack Valley Hospice House in Haverhill after a long battle with heart and kidney disease. She was born in Somerville, July 30, 1935 a daughter of the late William J. and Alice (Hall) DeCosta and lived in Somerville before moving to Billerica 48 years ago. Mrs. Foley worked in the cafeteria at Shawsheen Valley Technical High School for over 30 years and enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by one son, William A. Foley and his wife Linda of Bedford, NH; two daughters, Colleen Smith and her husband Steven of Billerica and Theresa Gibson and her husband Scott of Burlington; loving grandmother of, Amanda, Kellie, Samantha, Jack, Ryan and Scottie and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late William, Robert and Kenneth DeCosta, Dorothy Downey, Shirley Bucci and Phyllis Davies. FOLEY – Of Billerica, formerly of Somerville, Feb. 2, Barbara A. Funeral Friday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Theresa Church, Billerica at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
