Barbara A. (Farber) Saraceno, age 89, beloved wife of the late Santo J. Saraceno, died Thursday November 3, 2022 at Lawrence General Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born in Boston, December 31, 1932 a daughter of the late August and Lena (Richard) Farber and lived in both Billerica and Florida before moving to Atkinson, NH two years ago.
Barbara was a bookkeeper for the Gutierrez Construction Company in Burlington for many years. Barbara loved being around her family and hosted large family gatherings for years. She and her husband were involved in the prayer group at St. Theresa Parish in Billerica. Her hobbies were playing the piano, listening to classical music, painting, crossword puzzles and card games. She also enjoyed the beach and playing golf in Maine and Florida.
She is survived by Four sons, Paul Saraceno and his wife Colleen of Carlisle, Joseph Saraceno and his wife Barbara of Marblehead, John Saraceno of Nashua and Mark Saraceno and his wife Mary of Methuen; three daughters, Marie Ligouri and her husband Vincent of Wells, ME, Barbara Medeiros and her husband Fred of Nashua and Carol Liss and her husband Gary of Atkinson, NH; one sister Teenie Piantedosi of Watertown as well as 17 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was the grandmother of the late Joseph Ligouri and sister of the late Richard Farber and Rosemary Jackson.
A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday November 10, 2022 at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish in St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, E. Chelmsford. In lieu of flowers, memorial Contributions can be made in Barbara’s name to the American Red Cross, www.redcross.org or Daughters of Mary of Nazareth, P.O. Box 690789, Quincy, MA 02269.
