Obituary for Barbara A. Murphy
Barbara A. Murphy, age 65, died Sunday at Tufts New England Medical Center in Boston.
She was born in Boston, October 26, 1955, a daughter of the late Francis J. Murphy Sr. and A. Dorothea (Donohue) Murphy and was raised in Billerica having moved to Lowell 29 years ago.
Barbara was a former employee of the former Grossmans in Billerica and B.A.S.F. in Bedford and retired after working for Boston Acoustics.
She is survived by her brothers, Francis J. Murphy Jr. of Nashua, NH and Kenneth Murphy and his wife Michelle of Billerica; her niece, Brandi Murphy of OK and her nephew, Matthew Murphy of Attleboro. She was the longtime partner of the late Thomas Costello.
Funeral Monday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Irene Parish, Carlisle at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 1-4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to The Sun Santa, 491 Dutton St., Lowell, MA 01854. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
