Audry E. (Solomon) Putnam, age 77, beloved wife of Kenneth G. Putnam died peacefully Friday, May 8, at their home with her family by her side.
She was born in Lowell a daughter of the late David S. and Mildred E. (Lacombe) Solomon and was a lifelong Billerica resident.
Audry was a mailroom clerk for USCI/Bard in Billerica for many years and also spent time working for the Billerica School Dept. as a cafeteria worker.
In her spare time she enjoyed making arts and crafts, sewing, knitting and crocheting and liked painting being likened to “Bob Ross” but most important to her was spending time with her family.
Besides her husband she is survived by one son, Kenneth “Gary” Putnam and his wife Pamela of Pelham, NH; one daughter, Laurel Putnam of Lowell; two sisters, Laurel Zimmerman of Belmont, NH and Charlene Farley of Salisbury; her two granddaughters Lauryn and Alyson Putnam as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by three brothers, Albert, Robert and David Solomon.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, May 14, at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4 – 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Friday at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Andrew Church, 45 Talbot Ave., N. Billerica at 12 noon. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org
