Obituary for Arthur F. Agostino
Arthur F. Agostino Sr., Age 95, beloved husband of the late Angela N. (Carella) Agostino died peacefully Tuesday at the D’Youville Senior Care with his family at his side.
He was born in Italy, February 18, 1926, a son of the late Salvatore and Elizabeth Agostino and lived in Woburn and Arlington before moving to Billerica 20 years ago.
Arthur was employed as a Tailor in the Newton Highlands for many years before his retirement. He was an active communicant at St. Andrew Church in Billerica. The family would like to thank the staff and residents of the Saab, D’Youville Senior Center and the All Care Hospice for their dedication, kindness and compassionate care for our father for the past three years.
He is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Newton of Tyngsboro, Virginia Picardi and her husband Michael and Dianne Kenny all of Billerica; his son, Arthur Agostino Jr. and his wife Laura of Billerica; his sister, Parma Pezzoli of Italy and is also survived by his 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. He was the grandfather of the late Michael Picardi and brother of the late Vincenza Tavernese, Elvira Scali, Maria Cordi and Pasquale Agostino.
A private Funeral Mass will be held at the Blessed Trinity Parish St. Catherine of Alexandria Church in Westford and burial will take place at the Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
