Obituary for Anthony S. 'Tony' Cardozo
CARDOZO - Anthony S ‘Tony’ of Billerica, 90, formerly of Saugus, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 19th. Anthony was born in Rockport, the son of the late Manuel and Clara (Silva) Cardozo. He enlisted in the United States Army and proudly served his country during WWII. Tony, a Technical Artist, was retired from Raytheon after 40 years of service. Tony was an accomplished artist featuring his many paintings in various art shows. His hobbies also included gardening and photography. He was the husband of the late Phyllis M (Johnson) Cardozo. Father of Rose Holland and husband Joseph of Woburn, John Cardozo and partner Jayne Mitchell of Raymond, NH. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He is predeceased by two brothers John, and Manuel and a sister , Clara. Visiting hours will be held Thursday at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 2-4 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Interment will take place in the spring at the Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 150 Cambridge Park Dr., Cambridge, MA 02140.
