Obituary for Anne E. Bump
Anne E (Petersen) Bump, formerly of Lowell; Age 88, died Nov 2, 2012 in Port Charlotte Florida. She was the beloved wife of Robert H Bump with whom she celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary in July. Born in Woburn, MA on February 13, 1924 Anne was the daughter of the late Neil and Elizabeth (O'Toole) Petersen. She grew up in Winchester then moved to Pinehurst where she graduated from Howe High School. Prior to her marriage Anne worked at Raytheon and then the US Post Office. Anne and her husband Bob raised a loving family of five children in Lowell. She was a parishioner of St Margaret's church. They retired to Florida where she enjoyed reading, road trips, playing cards with friends and picnics on the beach. In addition to her beloved husband Bob she is survived by three daughters Nancy Bump of Lowell, Sue Gingrich and her husband John of New Boston, NH. Carol Cooper and her husband Jack of North Billerica, two sons Robert and his wife Darlene of Tewksbury and William and his wife Linda of Lowell, three grandchildren Ryan Bump, Emily and Mike Gingrich, and one great-grandchild Mason Bump, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Anne was the sister of the late Neil Petersen. BUMP – Nov. 2, Anne E. (Petersen) Bump, A memorial visitation will be held Saturday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 10-11 a.m. with a prayer service at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
