Anita M. Christianson – Age 90, wife of the late John A. Christianson Sr. died peacefully Tuesday, April 11 at the Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading with her family at her side.
She was born in Medford, March 27, 1933, a daughter of the late Frank and Albina (Legere) Bristol and was raised in Medford, before moving to Billerica and then to Chelmsford 55 years ago.
Anita was the owner of A. Christianson Transportation for many years until her retirement.
She is survived by her children, Karen Christianson, John A. Christianson Jr. and his wife Arlene, and David Christianson and his wife Lise all of Chelmsford. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Amy Kehoe and her husband Jared, Kelsie Christianson and her partner Doug Arnald, Sarah Mitchell and her husband Jayce, Ryan Christianson, and Jen Christianson. She is also survived by her eight great grandchildren Cailee, Lindsay, Brock, Ryleigh, Deklyn, Cale, Austin, and Madison.
Visiting hours will be held Sunday at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 1-3 p.m. Family and friends are invited to attend a prayer service for Anita at 3 p.m. lead by Rev. Nancy Butcher. A graveside service will be held Monday at the Pine Ridge Cemetery, 130 Billerica Rd., Chelmsford at 12 noon.
