Angela P. (Maienza) Megna, aged 85, passed away on Saturday at Winchester Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born in Boston on January 22, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Moreschi) Maienza. Angela spent most of her life in Medford.
She worked as a clerk in the check clearing department at Medford Savings Bank. Angela’s passion in life was her family, preparing daily meals, and holiday cooking. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting items for family and friends, but her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.
Angela is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years, Anthony S. Megna, and their two sons: Paul Megna of Tewksbury and Ron Megna and his wife Heidi of Billerica. She also leaves behind four grandchildren: Eric, Joseph, Cole, and Jacqui. Angela was the sister of the late Elaine Maienza.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica, from 4 – 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish in St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica, at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Angela will be laid to rest at Oak Grove Cemetery in Medford.
