Allison M. Paiva, age 84, beloved wife of Francis “Frank” Paiva died Sunday at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center after a brief illness.
She was born in Cambridge, June 19, 1939 a daughter of the late William J. and Mary C. (Cooney) Coleman and lived in Cambridge before moving to Billerica in 1977.
Allison was a Clerical Supervisor at the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles for 25 years working at both their Boston and Lowell locations.
Besides her husband she is survived by three sons, Ronald Coleman and his wife Debra of Jacksonville, FL, Francis “Jay” Pavia of Greer, SC and Jeffrey W. Paiva and his wife Susan of Billerica; one brother Edward Coleman and his wife Donna as well as her grandchildren Ashley Mae, Nicole, Rainald, Joseph and Matthew. She was the mother of the late Brian Coleman and sister of the late Lillian Cabral, John West and William, Joseph, Daniel, John and James Coleman.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, January 31, at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4 – 7 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held Thursday, February 1, at St. Matthew the Evangelist Parish at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Road, Billerica at 10 a.m. Interment in Cambridge City Cemetery, Cambridge. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
