Obituary for Allen J. Metivier
Allen J. Metivier – Age 86, died peacefully Friday at the Life Care Center of Merrimack Valley in N. Billerica. He was happily married to Margaret A. (Loranger) Metivier for 62 years. He was the son of the late John L. and Mary (Dube) Metivier. He was born and raised in S. Lowell until moving and residing in N. Billerica for the last 62 years. Mr. Metivier was a WW II Veteran having served in the Army Corp of Engineers. He was a member of the V.F.W. and the D.A.V. in Billerica. Mr. Metivier worked for the Billerica Public Schools for 36 years having retired in 1989. Besides his loving wife Margaret, he is survived by his daughter, Mary Burgoyne and her husband Berton of Billerica; his son, Allen “Buddy” Metivier Jr. and his wife Janice of Billerica; five grandchildren, Jessica Roy, Elizabeth Jaskowiak, Michael Metivier, John Metivier and Robert Burgoyne and five great grandchildren, Gabrielle, Michelle, Jacqueline and Joseph Roy and Sarah Jaskowiak. Mr. Metivier was the brother of the late Marion Martell, Lauretta Surprenant and Ted, George, Victor and Raymond Metivier. METIVIER – Age 86, Allen J. Metivier, Funeral Tuesday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 9 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Andrew’s Church, N. Billerica at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew’s Church, 45 Talbot Ave., Billerica, MA 01862. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery, E. Chelmsford.
