Obituary for Alicia V. Guilmette
Alicia V. Guilmette – Age 84, loving wife of the late George N. Guilmette died Saturday at her home surrounded by her family. She was born in Laconia, NH, September 24, 1930, a daughter of the late Leon and Mildred (Millar) Valliere and lived in Saugus before moving to Tewksbury in 1984. Mrs. Guilmette worked in Star Market in Saugus and later worked with great compassion caring for children. Alicia's most enjoyable and memorable times were spent with her family. She was an avid fan of the Boston Red Sox. The family pet, her constant companion, was always at her side. She is survived by her daughters, Marlene Guilmette of Tewksbury, and Jarna Saggese and her husband Robert of Billerica; her sister, Virginia George of Manchester, NH; her brother, Leon Valliere of Saugus; her grandchildren, Tasha Scaplen and her husband Stephen of Wilmington and Todd Saggese and his wife Jennifer of Reading; her great grandchildren, Colby, Caidan and Kai Scaplen and Ty and Trey Saggese. She was a dedicated 'mother' to Jill Holly Dunn, Sandra White and Harris Guilmette and their families. She was the sister of the late John Valliere and Loleta Sanborn. GUILMETTE – Of Tewksbury, Jan. 10, Alicia V. Guilmette, Funeral Tuesday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8:45 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Williams Church at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4-7 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472. Burial in Bayside Cemetery, Laconia, NH at 2 p.m.
