Obituary for Alice Louise Martell
Alice Louise Martell, Age 83, wife of the late Harry Martell Jr. died Monday evening surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Medford, June 1, 1931, the daughter of the late Lewis and Alma (Hamilton) Sponagle and lived in Billerica for most of her life. Mrs. Martell was a communicant of the Community Congregational Church in Billerica, was a member of the former Billerica Fireman’s Wives and enjoyed going to the Billerica Senior Center. She is survived by her sons, Harry Martell III of Stoneham, Richard Martell and his wife Laurie and John Martell and his wife Christine of Billerica and James Martell and his wife Cathleen of Tewksbury; her daughters, Brenda LeBlanc and her husband Dan of Billerica and Beverly Catanzaro and her husband Christopher of Pelham, NH; her brother, Lewis Sponagle of St. Croix and is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Mrs. Martell was the sister of the late Owen Sponagle. MARTELL – Of Billerica, Oct. 6, Alice Louise (Sponagle) Martell, Visiting hours will be held Thursday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4-7 p.m. A funeral service will be held Friday at the Community Congregational Church, 803 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 150 Cambridge Park Dr., Cambridge, MA 02140. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
