Alice L. (Brookings)(Hughes) Hurley – age 85, wife of the late Daniel J. Hurley died peacefully Monday, Oct. 14 at the Lowell General Hospital with her family at her side.
She was born in Boston, October 12, 1939 a daughter of the late Frederick and Elizabeth (Brown) Brookings and lived in Newton before moving to Billerica 55 years ago.
Alice was an Administrator at National Semiconductor prior to her retirement.
She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Corriveau of Tyngsborough, Kathleen Hughes of CA and Mary Ellen Furtado and her husband Andrew of Dracut; her step daughters, Kathleen McElroy and her husband Steve of FL and Dannielle Ayotte of Hudson, NH; her step sons, Daniel Hurley and his wife Debra of ME and James Hurley of Londonderry, NH; her dear friend, Dominic Dimartino of Billerica and is also survived by her 13 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday, Oct. 17 at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4-7 p.m. A graveside service will be held Friday at St. Mary Cemetery, 90 River Rd., Tewksbury at 12 p.m., please meet at the cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Alice’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org
