Alfred J. Marchioni Jr., age 67, died unexpectedly Sunday from complications of pneumonia at the West Roxbury VA Medical Center, with his family by his side.
He was born in Newton, May 1, 1958 a son of the late Alfred Marchioni Sr. and Esther (Tocci) Marchioni and lived in Newton and Waltham before moving to Billerica over 20 years ago.
Alfred worked for many years as a mechanic for the Massachusetts Turnpike Authority and also as a self-employed mechanic.
He is survived by one daughter, Christina Marchioni and her husband Greggory McQuaid and their daughter Makayla McQuaid of Raleigh, NC; two sons, Andrew Marchioni and his wife Nicole Fowler and their children, Araya and Alden Marchioni of Billerica and Anthony Marchioni and his longtime companion Hannah Culwell of Lowell and his daughter Isabella Marchioni of Billerica; two sisters, Deborah DiSimone and her husband Louis of Newton and Sandra Keefe and her husband Donald of Newton; one brother Alan Marchioni and his wife Monica of Salem, NH.
Visiting hours will be held Thursday October 9, 2025 at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4 – 7 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
