Obituary for Albert S. Mariano Sr.
Albert S. Mariano Sr. - Age 80, husband of the late Carol A. (Metivier) Mariano died Thursday at his home after a long illness.
He was born in Cambridge, December 19, 1929, the son of the late Domenic and Elizabeth (Jannetti) Mariano and lived in Cambridge before moving to Billerica in 1964. Mr. Mariano served in the Army during WW II.
He was employed at the former Ark-Les Switch Corp. in Watertown for over 30 years before later working as a Manufacturing Consultant for the former Merrimack Magnetics Corp. in Lowell.
Mr. Mariano is survived by his son, Albert S. Mariano Jr. and his wife Pamela of Townsend; his daughters, Linda Pitta and her husband Valentino of Billerica, Alayn Ingham and her husband Larry of Ayer, Catherine Ryder and her husband Brian and Tarina Mansur and her husband Daniel of Westford. Mr. Mariano is survived by 8 grandchildren; Val, Jessica, Tiffany, Al, Domenic, Jillian, Brianna and Tia. He was also the father of the late Domenic Mariano.
MARIANO - Of Billerica, Dec. 2, Albert S. Mariano Sr. Funeral Monday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. A graveside service will be held at the Fox Hill Cemetery, 130 Andover Rd., Billerica at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Sunday from 5-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St., Watertown, MA 02472.
