Agnes J. (Kelley) Hickey, age 94, beloved wife of the late George J. Hickey Jr., died Saturday, January 25, at D’Youville Senior Care in Lowell after a period of declining health.
She was born in Boston, May 22, 1930 a daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Dolan) Kelley and attended Boston College. She was a resident of Billerica for over 70 years.
Agnes worked as a substitute teacher for many years in Middlesex County Schools, and was employed as a librarian for several companies, the most recent being the Cabot Corporation in Billerica.
She is survived by two sons, Dr. Thomas Hickey of Swannanoa, NC and James Hickey and his wife Phakkajira “Cindy” of Falls Church, VA as well as 6 grandchildren.
She was the mother of the late Steven Hickey, and sister of the late Francis and Joseph Kelley.
A Celebration of Agnes’s life is being planned for a later date.
