Obituary for Stuart L. Potter Jr.
BILLERICA – Stuart L. Potter Jr., “Skip” age 82, beloved husband of Helen L. (Lee) Potter died Friday at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington.
He was born in Lowell, December 27, 1934 the son of the late Stuart L. Sr. and Marion E. (McQuaide) Potter and was a lifelong resident of North Billerica.
Skip worked for 50+ years for Carlysle Engineering, Inc. Fire Protection as a sprinkler fitter and was a member of Local 550. He was an Army Intelligence Division veteran and was a member of the First Congregational Church, Thomas Talbot Lodge, Billerica Lodge of Elks, Billerica Lions Club, the East Coast Tractor Club, Billerica Access Television and the Middlesex Canal Assn.
Besides his wife, he is survived by one son, Steven Potter and his wife Allison of Windsor, CT; four daughters, Katrina Potter of Billerica, Cynthia Tomlin and her husband Ronald of Billerica, Tamara Potter of Dracut, and Sandra and the late Jeffery Davidson of Billerica; three grandchildren, Courtney Tomlin, Haley Davidson, and Michael Davidson. He was the brother of the late Natalie (Potter Allen) Field. Beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.
POTTER – Of Billerica, April 7. Stuart “Skip” L. Potter Jr. Visiting hours will be held Thursday at the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica, from 4 – 7 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held Friday at the First Congregational Church, 18 Andover Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica. In lieu of flowers, a donation in his name to: Billerica Minuteman Statue Assn. would be greatly appreciated, c/o Enterprise Bank, 674 Boston Rd., Billerica, MA 01821.
