Obituary for Maurice O. Joyce
BILLERCA – Maurice O. “Moe” Joyce, beloved husband of the late Theresa (Manfredi) Joyce died Tuesday, June 12, at the VA Boston Healthcare System Hospital in West Roxbury after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Waltham, July 10, 1938 a son of the late Maurice R. and Agnes C. (Quinn) Joyce and has been a longtime Billerica resident.
Mr. Joyce service in the US Marines, was a machinist for several local companies most recently with Cambridge Tool in Billerica, and was a member of the VFW Solomon Post in Billerica.
He is survived by three sons, William Joyce and his wife Cynthia of Hudson, NH, Maurice Joyce of Billerica and Michael Joyce and his wife Cynthia of Townsend; two brothers, Patrick Joyce of and William Joyce and his wife Marie all of Northborough; one sister, Dorothy Frost of FL as well as seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was the brother-in-law of the late Patricia Joyce.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, June 19, at the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica from 4 – 7 p.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. All other services will be held privately and at the convenience of his family.
