Obituary for Lorraine V. Veator
BILLERICA – Lorraine V. (Surette) Veator, age 88, beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Veator Jr., died unexpectedly Friday at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington.
She was born in Boston, May 21, 1929 a daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Vargas) Surette and lived in East Boston before moving to Billerica in 1985.
Lorraine enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She loved her family vacations to Disney World and never missed watching a Red Sox game.
She is survived by one son, James Veator and his wife Irene of Bridgewater; two daughters, Lori McInnis and Cheryl Veator both of Billerica; one sister Margaret Veator and her husband Ernest of Methuen; one brother William Surette of Florida; two sisters-in-law, Anna Surette of Florida and Elizabeth Surette of East Boston as well as six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was also the mother of the late Joseph F. Veator III and sister of the late Joseph Surette, Jr.
VEATOR – Of Billerica, formerly of East Boston, unexpectedly Dec. 1, Lorraine V. Veator. Funeral Tuesday from the SWEENEY MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held in St. Theresa Church, Billerica at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Visiting hours will be held Monday from 4 – 7 p.m. Burial in Fox Hill Cemetery, Billerica.
