Obituary for James C. Egan
James C. Egan – Age 89, beloved husband of June M. (Campbell) Egan died Wednesday at the Salemhaven Rehabilitation Center in Salem, NH.
He was born in Newton, November 27, 1928, a son of the late John and Mary (McDonald) Egan and lived in Prince Edward Island before entering the Air Force in 1949. He served in the Korean War in the Forth Air Force Wing and received the Korean Service Medal, Bronze Service Star and the Good Conduct Medal.
Mr. Egan attended Industrial Technical School in Boston for refrigeration and air conditioning. He was employed at Hanscom Air Force Base for 35 years having retired in 1984. He worked for Joe Ayotte HVAC Company for 24 years part time.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 462 in Boston and spent winters with his wife in St. Petersburg, Fl.
Besides his wife of 64 years, Mr. Egan is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Laurenza and her husband Jeff of Methuen; his son, Robert Egan of Billerica; his sister, Estelle Bourgeois of Canada; his two granddaughters, Angela Molihan and Mikala Daloia and is also survived by four great grandchildren. Mr. Egan was the brother of the late David Egan and grandfather of the late Robert Egan.
EGAN – Of Billerica, Feb. 28, James C. Egan, A Memorial Mass will be held Monday at St. Theresa Church, 466 Boston Rd., Billerica at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited.
