Obituary for Clement J. Cote
Clement J. Cote – Age 98, beloved husband of Blanche M. (Duffell) Cote died Wednesday at their home surrounded by his family.
He was born in Lowell, February 22, 1919, a son of the late Louis and Delia (Morrissett) Cote.
Clement graduated from Lowell High School and proudly served in WW II having served in the U.S. Army Artillery between 1941-1945 achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. He served in North Africa and Italy. After the war, he built a home for his family with the help of his brothers in North Billerica. He worked at J.P. Stevens Woolen Mill and retired as a School Custodian for the Town of Billerica.
He was devoted to his family and took pleasure maintaining his home and working in his garden. He was a regular attendant of Grace Chapel in Lexington. One of his interests was short wave radio and he held a special armature radio operators license.
Besides his wife, Clement is survived by his son Robert Alan Cote and his grandson, Jeffrey Cote of Billerica. He was the brother of the late Philip Cote, Ernest Cote, Henry Cote, Gerard Cote, Annette Seamans, Rita Szurley and Irene Lynch.
COTE – Of Billerica, Jan. 31, Clement J. Cote, A visitation will be held Monday, February 5 at Grace Chapel, 59 Worthen Rd., Lexington from 10-11 a.m. with a service to be held at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. Burial will follow in Tewksbury Cemetery.
